This weekend, a few friends and I went on a trip to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit Carowinds, a local amusement park. The park was putting on an event for Halloween called Scarowinds. It was a long 4-hour drive. On the way, we stopped at Kentucky Fried Chicken to get lunch. Although it was a 4-hour drive, it didn't seem that long because we talked and had fun the whole way.
          By the time we got to the park, it was dark. Perfect for a scary Halloween event. The first thing we did when we got there was jump onto the largest roller coaster in the park. Eddy was scared. Eventually, we grew hungry and decided to get some food. It was disgusting. I barely ate any of the burger. There were many haunted houses to go through, and a lot of frightening actors running throughout the park scaring people.
         To take a break from all of the rides, we decided to play some games and won prizes for our friend Katie. After a long night, we got back into the car and enjoyed a sleep-filled ride back to Wilmington. I had a lot of fun.
